Most shows are held over the weekend, however the show day will always be on the Sunday. Camping is available and Saturdays are fun days with BBQs, Events and Games! Breed Classes are for registered Northern Inuits with Novelty Classes for all breeds – everyone is welcome. Show rules can be found at the bottom of the page and all visitors and participants must abide by them.

NIS Show Rules…

 

The following rules will apply at NIS Shows and must be adhered to:

1 – All dogs must be kept on the lead throughout the duration of the show and controlled at all times. Your dog is your own responsability.
2 – All participants of the show are reminded to clean up after their dogs.
3 – All dogs and owners must be registered/owners with the Northern Inuit Society for NIS showing (for NIS breed classes only, Novelties open to all).
4 – No bitches in season are permitted to be brought to the show.
5 – No pregnant bitches are permitted to be brought to the show.
6 – Minor puppies must have had both off their vaccinations before being brought to the show.
7 – All dogs and bitches that are to be shown are entire and have not been Speyed or Neutered (for NIS breed classes only).
8 – Novelty classes are open to all breeds.
9 – No head collars or Harness are to be worn in the ring whilst on show.
10 – NIS show Staff have the right to remove any participant or dog from the show.
11- All pups must have completed both vaccinations. After 2nd vaccination the pup must have at least One week for vaccine safety cover, before allowed to attend any NIS show event which includes NIS Shows and camping, organised meetings or organised walks.

Classes and age groups and qualifying rules.

1 – Minor Pup : Under 6 months.
2 – Puppy – 6 months to 1 year old.
3 – Special Yearling – 1 year and 1 day up to 2 years off age.
4 – Novice – 2 years of age until won novice 3 times.
5 – Post Graduate Open to all dogs over 2 years of age who have had 3 x 1st places in the Novice class.
6 – Graduate – Open to all dogs/Bitches who have gained 3 Best inShows.
7 – Open – open to all 1 years old dogs/bitches and over.
8 – All 1st placed dogs from the above classes will go forward into Best In Show.

Members classes. (Only open to fully paid up Members off the Northern Inuit Society)


1 – Stud Dog – Open to all registered dogs who have sired 1 or more litters


2 – Brood Bitch – Open to all registered Bitches who have produced 1 or more litters


3 – Spayed and Neutered – Open to all registered Speyed and Neutered NI’s


4 – Veteran – Open to all Registered NI’s 8 years and above

5 - New handler
